Masonic Block Dinners: Saturday, August 7, 2021, 6 pm
Description
The Tides Institute & Museum of Art (TIMA) is hosting two special dinners in early August on the ground floor of its historic 1887 Masonic Block building located at 32 Water Street in downtown Eastport, Maine. Volunteer chefs Audrey Patterson of North Perry, Maine and Brennin Consalvi, who grew up in North Perry and was mentored by Patterson, will prepare the dinners. The two dinners, to be held Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7 will have contrasting menus with Friday’s more land-based and Saturday’s more sea-based. Vegan selections for both dinners will be included as will wine and beer and other beverages. Background music will also be provided. Both dinners start at 6 pm. The cost is $50 per person and seats must be reserved and paid in advance. Seating is limited to 20 people per dinner. Hugh French, director of TIMA, says “We wanted to do these two dinners to suggest what is to come with the Masonic Building as we develop it. We also want to talk a bit about our plans for the building and to gain some feedback from diners.” Seats to the dinners can be reserved and paid for by contacting TIMA by phone or online.
